Yamaha Offers $25,000 Reward For Information About Unauthorized Dealers
Yamaha is offering a $25,000 reward to the first person that provides specific information that leads to the identification and prosecution of unauthorized dealers.
There are several unauthorized dealers selling Yamaha products. Many of these stores are selling Yamaha products that have been modified by:
- Removal of the genuine serial number and replacement by a phony serial number
- Removal of the Yamaha warranty statement
- Removal of the purchase information card.
It is risky for consumers to buy from an unauthorized dealer. These products do not carry the manufacturer’s warranty and are often stolen, counterfeit or gray market goods.
