Wealthier consumers are more likely to shop online
A Packaged Facts research report found that 34 percent of respondents said they made an online purchase during the past year while 50 percent of mass affluent respondents (single individuals with an income of $75,000-$99,999 and all adults with a household income of $100,000-$149,999); and 57 percent of the highly affluent (with a household income of $150,000-$249,999) used e-commerce. Affluent customers were found more likely to buy tickets online, book travel as well as comparison shop.
