eBay has released their statistics from 2006.  It’s hard to calculate eBay’s true percentage of total e-commerce sales, but it is a large percent.  We estimate that eBay accounts for any where from 20%-50% of all e-commerce sales.Highlights of eBay’s 2006 Numbers:

• 52.47 Billion in sales (19% increase over 2005)
• 610 Million Listings (38% were fixed-price listings)
• 221.6 Million registered users
• 593,000 Stores (Up 55% from 2005)
