1st In Video – Music World, Inc.

Students will receive real world experience managing all aspects of e-commerce.

Quincy, IL, Oct. 2, 2007 – Quincy University students will now have the opportunity to receive hands on experience planning, designing, programming, writing and testing all aspects of e-commerce. 10 years ago, 1st in Video – Music World created ShopQuincy.com and ShopTriStates.com as online portals for the surrounding Quincy area. These sites have been shelved for over 5 years and now the company plans on working with students to manage these websites.Any Quincy University student interested in e-commerce is invited to participate in the club. The club will be setup like a business and all majors are welcome. Students will have opportunities to work on projects through competitions, current classes, practicum credit and potential paid internship opportunities with 1st in Video – Music World, Inc. Specific project opportunities include project planning, graphic design, programming database driven websites, writing for the web, search engine optimization, marketing, advertising, and usability testing.

The first informational meeting will be on Monday, October 8 at 4PM in Quincy University’s Francis Hall Room 334. Free soda and pizza will be provided to students following the meeting.
